RETAIL WATER TANK REPLACEMENT
In this case study, our Engineers were tasked with the replacement of a potable cold water storage tank, located within a shopping centre. Due to several reported leaks and a lack of previous maintenance, a replacement was deemed as the most appropriate long-term solution.
STAGE 1
Mains Bypass
To ensure the shopping centres water supply wouldn't be disrupted whilst the works were carried out, our team installed a temporary mains bypass. Following this, the previous retail water tank was isolated, drained and removed from site. The picture here displays mid-way through the tank removal process.
STAGE 2
Tank Build Process
The photo here displays the water tank building process. With a strict two day turnaround expected, our engineers worked rigorously to execute this build within the set timeframe. Determined in a previous survey, the tank possessed the following dimensions: internal 2.5m x 1m x 1m (External 2.650m x 1.150m x 1.580m).
STAGE 3
Newly Installed Water Tank
Our client was left with a new WRAS-approved GRP cold water storage tank that would provide a potable supply throughout the shopping centre. As put forward previously, the remaining connections and recommissioning were carried out by Engineers working for the shopping centre.
